The link will open a library search bar on the right-hand side. Use this to search for the resources you want to add to your reading lists. Once you have found the materials you would like to use, hover over them. You'll notice that a green icon with six dots appears to the left of the citation. Use that icon to drag and drop it directly into a section of your list. As an alternative to the drag and drop You can use the round green plus sign bubble on the right to manually select your section from a drop-down list.

In previous Leganto tutorials, we walked through how to create sections. In your reading list, select the module, week or other criteria where you'd like to use this resource. This is set when you first created the Leganto reading list. Click add to finish adding the resource to your list.

Search the library panel with secondary add options, including list, suggestions, or favorites and a drop down list of previously defined sections. The add button is highlighted.

If you try to add a physical item, say a print book or DVD to your reading list from the library catalog, you will be prompted to indicate if you'd like that item to be placed on reserve at your local campus library, either Snell Library in Boston or the F.W. Olin Library in Oakland. You can also determine the length of loan period you'd like your course reserve to be available to students. If your students are not on the Boston or Oakland campuses, or you don't need the physical item on reserve, please select 'No Action Required' and click on 'okay.'

What would you like the library to do with this item dialog box. Options include place on reserve - 3 hour loan, place on reserve - 24 hour load, no action required - this citation is just for student reference.

For Oakland instructors, please contact libreserves-oak@northeastern.edu

Item selected to go on physical reserve will display the appropriate loan period tag once added. This is visible to both your students and to the library staff processing your reading list. If you'd like to request items that are not currently at the library, please contact your library liaison at your campus or the Course Reserves Department.
