This tutorial will show you how to access the full text of articles using Scholar OneSearch.  Title Slide
First, enter your search terms in the Scholar OneSearch box on the library website.  Library Website

Next look at the left side of your results and limit to articles under the material type heading. If you need articles from peer reviewed journals, you can also use the peer reviewed journal filter on the left side of your search results.

Once you've limited your results, you can start looking through your results for articles of interest. You'll usually see two options to access the full text of an article. The first option is to look for the full text available link listed below the article's publication information. A window will open, revealing one or more links to library databases or journals that provide the full text of the article you want. Click any of the links in the view online list to be directed to the full text of the article.

Look for links to download the PDF or read the article in your browser. The PDF download options may be located in different places in different databases.  Various example records in database.
The second way to access full text of an article is to click the view issue contents in Browzine link.  Scholar OneSearch search results for "Climate Change".
When you click on this link, you'll be directed to Browzine, an app that provides access to e-journals from specific publishers. Browzine will display the issue of the journal that contains the particular article you're interested in. To access the full text of the article, just click on the read full text icon. Example journal, Nature, in BrowZine.
Sometimes instead of seeing full text available or view in Browzine, you might see check for full text listed under the article. This means that we may not have this particular article available online in full text. In these cases, if you click on the check for full text link, you'll be given an option to order the article via ILLiad, which is our interlibrary loan service.  Scholar OneSearch search results for "Climate Change".
Just click the link to log into your ILLiad account with your MyNortheastern or MyNEU username and password. Once you're logged into ILLiad, fill out the request form for the material that you want. It typically takes 1 to 2 business days to fill these requests.  ILLiad login and request form.
