Resources for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The following text is extracted from the Library's Statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It is hoped that information I've included helps you to locate a wide range of resources relevant to your research and discussions.

"The Northeastern University Library actively pursues a society free of racism and universally committed to diversity, equity and inclusion... We are constantly reviewing and expanding our library's resources to reflect authors and creators from the full breadth of our society and world, and to ensure that we have a collection of books and media that can help students and researchers understand and counteract racism."

Sections of this guide include resources which study and reveal how film and media influence and shape our perspectives on race, gender and sexual identities. These recommended books and films are drawn heavily from lists provided by Visiting Lecturer Laurel Ahnert, who teaches Race and Social Justice in American Film and Gender and Film, and Associate Teaching Professor Kristopher Cannon, who teaches Queer Media

These sections will continue to be updated. Feel free to send me your comments and recommendations.
