- Data Liberation ProjectAn initiative to identify, obtain, reformat, clean, document, publish, and disseminate government datasets of public interest.
- DataLumosCrowdsourced repository for government data, provided by ICPSR (Institute for Social Research) at University of Michigan
- Data Rescue ProjectA coordinated effort among a group of data organizations, including IASSIST, RDAP, and members of the Data Curation Network. Their goal is to serve as a clearinghouse for data rescue-related efforts and data access points for public US governmental data that are currently at risk.
- Environmental Data & Governance Initiative (EDGI)Research collaborative and network of diverse professionals promoting evidence-based policy-making and public interest science that advances the Environmental Right-to-Know (ERTK). Conducted interview process to identify federal datasets at risk.
- Environmental Policy Innovation CenterOrganization that is coordinating with Public Environmental Data Partners to identify and collect crucial environmental data sources
- Open Environmental Data ProjectA pilot project for a coordinated response to government websites and data going down after the Trump 2025 administration took office
- Preservation of Electronic Government Information (PEGI)An initiative to address national concerns regarding the preservation of electronic government information by cultural memory organizations for long term use by the public.
- Public Environmental Data PartnersPreserves and provides public access to federal environmental data.
- SAFE-Track: Secure Anonymous Federal Evidence, Data and Analysis TrackingFrom the Data Foundation, this tool portal provides a secure, encrypted channel for documenting changes to federal evidence and data activities. It does not contain the datasets themselves, but publishes the Evidence Capacity Pulse Reports.
- Safeguarding Research & Culture (SRC) — Distributing Cultural MemoryFocuses on creating an alternative infrastructure for archiving and disseminating of cultural heritage and scientific knowledge. Focuses on publicly available material, like websites, datasets and other media, that are being altered or deleted.
- Wayback MachineA digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Search by URL or keywords then browse by date to locate archived copies of webpages.
