Introduction to Protocols
A research protocol is a predefined procedural method or methods used in the design and of an experiment. They help standardize a laboratory method, helping to ensure replication of results by other researchers. A commonly used method of documenting protocols are the SMART data elements; this checklist can help walk you through those elements.
