Beyond Northeastern
The Northeastern University Libraries have partnerships with other libraries to help you access the research materials you need.
Use this page to familiarize yourself with the various options available to the Northeastern University community. And of course, contact us at the Research Assistance Desk if you have any questions.
Interlibrary Loan
For US-based Northeastern students, faculty, and staff, there is no charge for ordering materials (print or electronic) from other libraries. Use ILLIAD (interlibrary loan) services.

What about Harvard?
A question that we're often asked is: Can I look at this at Harvard?
The answer is: maybe. And of course, borrowing privileges are mostly limited to those at Harvard. There are many libraries at Harvard University and each one has a different policy for visitors. Some will allow access to outside researchers with a valid ID (such as the ID from another university), some require a fee, and some do not allow outside researchers at all. Before you go, please check the access policy of the library you wish to visit using this list of all of the Harvard libraries' and opening hours.
