Chemistry Journal Databases

Along with the key resources on the home page of this guide, these databases provide extensive access to Chemistry research journals.

General Scientific Journals

These are some of the highly cited journals that cover more areas of science. They are good sources to use when staying up-to-date on the most recent, impactful research throughout the sciences, as well as learning about interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research.

Preprints

A preprint is an article published before peer review. This lets scientists view and discuss works right away. Since these articles are early drafts, they may contain errors. The benefits include quick sharing of scientific information. The peer review process can take a long time, so preprints speed things up. Authors can also get feedback on their work before submitting it to a journal.

As a reader, keep in mind that preprints are not peer-reviewed. They also haven't been accepted by any journal yet.

Interlibrary Loan
