Permalinks in JSTOR

For colleagues at Northeastern and linking in Canvas for students:

  1. Perform your search in JSTOR (opens in a new window) and select the article, e-book, or document.
  2. Near the top of the page at the right, click on the "SHARE" button
  3. Choose email (or any option) to view a shareable URL that will work at Northeastern
  4. Note, it will be formatted like this; customized for Northeastern for sharing on campus:
    https://www-jstor-org.ezproxy.neu.edu/stable/3295201?socuuid=1a9f0d37-b98a-4e79-9634-352063c4034e

For published reference lists and sharing outside Northeastern

If you are creating a bibiliography or reference list for sharing to audiences outside Northeastern, use the stable URL on the page.  This stable URL is generic, NOT customized for those with a Northeastern login.  Users will need to navigate to their personal or institutional subscription in order to use it.
