Best Bets--Searching the Medical Literature for Scholarly Articles

Tackling a new topic?

Try looking for a review article first. Review articles summarize the state of research on a scientific topic.  Be sure to check the references at the end of the article. It's a great way to find more information on the topic, key discoveries, and identify important authors in the field.
Most databases offer a way to limit your database search results to review articles. Look for the "Review" limiter option.
