Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
- Interlibrary LoanRequest books or articles not available in the NU Library’s collection, and we will attempt to borrow it for you from another library. The library will notify you when the requested book is ready for you to pick up at the Help and Information desk.
- WorldCat (OCLC)WorldCat Discovery is a worldwide catalog and discovery system. Search for a book, journal, newspaper, video, or document. It will tell you which libraries in North America (and worldwide) have the item available.
Boston Library Consortium (BLC)
- Boston Library Consortium: Access and Borrowing from BLC Member InstitutionsThe NU Library is a member of the BLC, a group of libraries in Boston and New England.
- Request a BLC card: Library Privileges Request FormFill out the form to get a BLC card and use it (along with your Husky Card) to check out print books directly from other BLC libraries (Boston College, SMFA, Tufts, and more). Call ahead to confirm access and borrowing privileges before visiting that library.
Boston Public Library
- Boston Public Library CardAs a student living in Massachusetts, you can apply for a Boston Public Library (BPL) card at one of the library branches. The Central Library in Copley Square is the closest branch to Northeastern Boston campus. You can then check out books from the BPL's collection.
