The Northeastern University Visualization Consortium (NUVis) is an interdisciplinary cross-university initiative to support the university’s research efforts in visualization and to connect faculty, researchers, and students across campus to foster a visualization community. |

The Boston Research Center (BRC), based in the Northeastern University Library, is a digital community history lab where Boston’s deep neighborhood and community histories are brought to light through the creation and use of new technology. Through this, residents can share a more nuanced and complex understanding of Boston’s present. |

Storybench takes an “under the hood” look at the latest in digital storytelling, from data visualization and investigative journalism to virtual reality and the digital humanities. In addition to in-depth features and interviews with industry practitioners, we offer hands-on tutorials that can be “downloaded” right into the newsroom or classroom. |
Courses and Degree Programs
There are many colleges within Northeastern that offer courses and degree programs related to data analysis. This is by no means a comprehensive list and we highly recommend checking some of these resources for the latest information about potential offerings:

College of Arts, Media, and Design (CAMD) Offers several programs, including an MFA, MS, or Graduate Certificate in Information Design and Visualization. The School of Journalism within CAMD also offers a Media Innovation track for its MA in Journalism that includes the use of information visualization. Students, faculty, and staff can get help with data visualization at the Northeastern University Library through our Data Analysis and Visualization Specialist, Kate Kryder. You can:

- Request assistance via email
- Check the library calendar for open workshops
- Use our online tutorials and resources such as books and ebooks
At this time, there are no physical computer workstations in the library. However, you can check the Tools guide for information on how to access various data visualization tools and look into the possibility of using a virtual desktop, if need be.
