Faculty: Modules, badging programs and other non-credentialed course offerings cannot use library resources in course materials, neither via linking nor by downloading PDFs to Canvas. Due to database licensing restrictions, non-credentialed students do not have access to library resources and will not be able to read any library materials you assign. Instead, you will need to use open educational resources or open access materials for assigned course readings. This page contains resources to help you locate no- or low-cost readings. There are many inexpensive or free, high-quality alternatives to traditional textbooks available to instructors. Open textbooks are created by disciplinary specialists—sometimes originally for use in their own courses, sometimes expressly for the purpose of filling a perceived need for high-quality, affordable instructional material.
