Latest News on Snell Library

A Statement from Dean Dan Cohen

The Northeastern University Library moved online in March and since that time has greatly expanded virtual help from our librarians through video, audio, email, and text chat, available to everyone in the NU community, anywhere and anytime. Our Library staff are well prepared to support Hybrid NUflex learning. During the summer, Snell Library spaces will be reconfigured to maximize properly distanced studying. At the start of the fall term, Snell Library will reopen with reduced hours to allow for additional cleaning overnight. To provide additional space for patrons and to comply with CDC guidelines around the handling and exchange of library materials, we will be temporarily removing desktop computers and storing our print collection in our library annex. Many of these books will be available instantly via digital checkout, and we will continue to explore safe and efficient ways to provide additional forms of access as we move into the academic year. The Library has also greatly increased digital resources and made additional provisions for the digitization and procurement of online materials for teaching, learning, and research. For the latest information about services and resources, please see the library website.
