Linguistics: Area Libraries/ILL

A guide to resources and research in linguistics.

What is the BLC?

The Boston Library Consortium is an association of 17 academic and research libraries located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The links below provide more information on access and the collections of the BLC libraries.

Beyond Northeastern

The Northeastern University Libraries have partnerships with libraries in the Boston area and across the country to help you access the research materials you need. You can visit some of these partner libraries yourself (see "What is the BLC?" box to the left) or use our various borrowing services for pick-up at Snell Library, or in some cases, electronic delivery. If we don't have it, we'll try to get it for you!

Use this page to familiarize yourself with the various options available to the Northeastern University community. And of course, contact us at the Research Help Desk if you have any questions.

We don't have it?

If we don't have it, we'll try to get it for you! We will request books, journal articles, and more from other libraries that have what we don't. Give us a citation and we'll locate it for you!
