Information Literacy through NU Libraries

Information Literacy may be defined as having the skills needed to effectively find, retrieve, analyze, and use information for any number of course assignments or research projects. The scope of information includes traditional text based resources such as journal articles or books, various types of media such as sound or film, and, increasingly, data based information.

Northeastern University Libraries support the acquisition of information literacy skills for both online and on-site library users through a variety of means, including class specific presentations or tutorials, online or on-site consultations for individuals,  online and on-site reference support services, and general website or subject guide tutorials.
