Chemistry: Citing and Bibliographies

A guide to online and print resources in chemistry.

Fall 2018 Training

Our Fall citation management workshop season is over, but there will be more workshops in the spring. Check this page for updates.

The workshops have covered Endnote, RefWorks, Zotero, Mendeley, and a general Introduction to Citation Management to help you choose the best tool for you. These tools make it easier to create your bibliography and keep track of your references.

If you were unable to sign up for a workshop this fall, Contact me, Kathy Herrlich. I can send you a recording of a webinar if one is available for the workshop of your choice.

NOTE: You can set Endnote or RefWorks to ACS citation style.

In Endnote, go to EDIT > Output Style > Open Style Manager.  Find ACS on the drop-down list of styles and check the box to make it one of your "favorites" (preferred citation style).

In Refworks, look under Bibliography on the menu bar and go to Output Style Manager to select your citation style.
